Communications Hardware
Ardexa does not manufacture any hardware products. All hardware products listed disclose specifications and data sheets for each item, as provided by each manufacturer. Engineers responsible for any implementations must understand the manufacturer safety and operational instructions. This is the explicit responsibility of the engineer responsible for each and every implementation. Ardexa engineers or representatives are not responsible for selecting, installing or maintaining these hardware components.
The Edge device must be able to connect to the Internet. Normally, this is provided locally via an ADSL modem or other Internet connection. Sometimes, local WIFI access to the Internet is provided. If you Linux device does not have inbuilt WIFI access, then you can use a USB to WIFI converter such as this one:
If local WIFI coverage is weak, it is strongly recommended to use an antenna to boost local WIFI reception, such as this one
