Configure your UNO-2271G, UNO-2272G machines prior to Linux image install
Edge machines may require certain configurations to be undertaken prior to installation of a Linux image.
Boot
When power is applied PWR light is ORANGE
During the boot cycle the PWR light is GREEN
To Access BIOS Settings
Hit the [ESC] key during boot sequence to enter BIOS mode. On occasions, manufacturer version dependent, this action may be achieved using the [DEL] key.
Configure BIOS Settings
After entering the BIOS settings on the machine, review and change the following as required:
MENU:Advanced >ACPI Settings >Enable ACPI Auto Configuration:DisabledEnable Hibernation:DisabledACPI Sleep State:Suspend Disabled
... Super IO Configuration >Serial Port 1 Configuration >Serial Port:EnabledCOM1 Mode:RS-485 Mode
Serial Port 2 Configuration >COM2 Mode:RS-485 Mode
Miscellaneous Configuration >OS Selection:Windows 8.x
USB Configuration >EHCI Hand-off:EnabledXHCI Hand-off:EnabledLegacy USB Support:Enabled
MENU:Chipset >South Bridge >Restore AC Power Loss :Power OnUSB Configuration >XHCI Mode:LEAVE ENABLEDUSB 2.0(EHCI) Support:DisabledUSB Per Port Control:Enabled
MENU:Boot >Set Prompt Timeout:2
MENU:Save & Exit >Save ChangesBoot Override >Select:[USB Stick Name]...this will boot the machine using the USB stick
