# Timeframe and Timezone

## Timeframe

A dashboard timeframe is period from which you would like the data to be retrieved for the dashboard cards.

`Common timeframes` are a list of preset periods that are provided by the Ardexa Web App to you for easy selection. The default value is *`Last 7 days`* &#x20;

## Timezone

By default, timeframes are defined  ***in your local time zone.*** This can be customised by choosing a different Timezone option in the Timezone drop down:

Valid options are Local (your current timezone), UTC or a specific timezone specified by location.&#x20;

Changing the selected timezone will adjust the timeframes to match the local time of the new timezone. The time shown on cards will reflect this selected timezone.

For the `Chart` and `Latest Values` card types, you can display the time in either the data collection timezone or the selected timezone using the interactive option.
